There’s been another “Halla” in town and this time, it’s very very true! After a hiatus of five years, Raju Lama and his band Mongolian Heart are reuniting for their huge concerts in the capital as well as in Pokhara!!

The concert in Pokhara is taking place on 5th June at Pradarshani Kendra, Naya Bazaar and it will introduce the band with its new name and its latest line-up. Yes, there have been few changes in the band members over the years and from now onwards, the group will be known to us as “Raju Lama Mongolian Heart”. It currently consists of Raju Lama on vocals, Bobby Lama on guitar, Kiran Nagarkoti on guitar, Santosh Thapa on drums, Dhipendra Man Singh on keyboard, and Prabin Shrestha on bass guitar. And taking charge of our guys is band manager Ritesh Criss. The audience in PKH will be able to enjoy the group churning out many of their old as well as new hits. The number of songs could lead up to 20-24. Now that’s an awesome treat!

Talking about their gig here in Kathmandu, the boys will be rocking out on the occasion of FIFA World Cup opening ceremony! “A project of Ritesh Criss: Raju Lama Mongolian Heart –An Exclusive Live” will take place on 11th June at Jeans Lounge and Bar, Basantapur, 3pm onwards. At the event, organized by Nepa-Sa and Limited Edition- a record company among others, the band will be warming up all the football fanatics present there before the big show starts in the evening. The venue is sure to be jam-packed and also appearing as guest artists are Buddha N. Shrestha and Mahesh Gurung – adding a pleasant delight to the show.

Well, these highly anticipated shows are certainly not to be missed out, since frontman Raju Lama will be returning to the US this very month and won’t be back until really long. So let’s enjoy the band’s music while they’re still together and also look out for their latest single “Yo Juni Ma” from their new album “Raju Lama Mongolian Heart Vol. 5”. Its music video is soon to be in the making.
