Come 7pm, Monday and the buzz started to pick up around I-Club, Durbarmarg. And by 8pm, it was already VERY packed, we could barely move. The occasion was the launch of five albums from Reeyaz Music Pvt. Ltd. Here was a barrel of musical talent if ever we saw one sharing the same stage, unveiling their CDs, from the veteran Mr. Om Bikram Bista to sensational Anil Singh, Manjayashree, Dharmendra Sewan and Prashamsa Shrestha. Plus the evening also saw the launching of lyricist, Pratima Shrestha's book "Spandanka Aavasharu".
The event lured a slew of who's who of the media fraternity, which came as no surprise. Come on, there are handful of production houses in the country today whose albums are bankable, and pretty much guarantee quality music coming from their stable - Reeyaz Music definitely leading the pack. Under their banner five albums saw the light of day; Om Bikram Bista's - "Flora", Anil Singh's - "Mero Parichaya", Dharmendra Sewan's - "Mero Idol", Manjayashree's - "Yes I can" and Prashamsa Shrestha's - "Prashamsa".
Performing for a celebrated audience the singers entertained music enthusiasts with their latest, and world premiered their respective music videos. The crowd got to a tangible high when the performances started and judging by little of what we heard, Reeyaz Music might just have nabbed another golden ticket in sales department. The albums will be hitting the stores near you, very soon. Here's wishing the stars, especially the new comers all the best.
